PMU Lightening & Removal

Hit reset on brows, liner, and lip blush that no longer feel like “you.”

Permanent makeup isn’t always as permanent as we’d like it to be – colors shift, shapes date, and sometimes the work was simply never right in the first place. At Beauty Room TM, we specialize in safe, strategic PMU lightening and removal so you can move forward with fresh, flattering results instead of feeling stuck with old ink.

Whether you want a subtle lightening before a correction, or you’re ready to fully remove unwanted work, we build a plan that respects both your skin and your long-term goals.

Who Our PMU Removal Services Are For

Our PMU lightening and removal treatments are ideal if you have:

  • Old microblading or powder brows that look too dark, too dense, or outdated
  • Brows that have turned ashy, reddish, bluish, or odd tones
  • Brow tails too low or shapes that drag the face down
  • Migrated eyeliner or liner that looks heavy or uneven
  • Lip blush that healed too bright, too cool, or too far outside your natural lip line
  • Previous PMU that needs lightening before new, corrected work can be safely done

If you look in the mirror and your permanent makeup is the first thing you notice – and not in a good way – you’re in the right place.

Our Corrective Approach: Gentle, Targeted, and Plan-Driven

At Beauty Room TM we don’t believe in “one size fits all” removal. Different inks, depths, skin types, and problem areas respond best to different techniques. That’s why we combine:

  • Botched Ink® saline removal
  • Advanced multi-wavelength laser technology for pigment and small tattoos
  • Precision skin resurfacing and rejuvenating light-based treatments for residual staining, texture, and tone

This lets us customize each treatment plan to lighten what we don’t want while protecting and improving the skin underneath.

Botched Ink® Saline PMU Removal

Best for: Brows, microblading, lip blush edges, and many types of cosmetic tattoo pigment

Botched Ink® is a professional, saline-based removal system designed specifically for permanent makeup and microblading. It’s a non-laser method that uses a mineral-rich saline solution to gently draw unwanted pigment up and out of the skin as it heals.

How it works

  • The area is carefully numbed for comfort
  • The Botched Ink® solution is implanted into the tattooed area using PMU techniques
  • As the skin forms a light, controlled scab, pigment is lifted toward the surface and sheds out during healing, gradually lightening the area over a series of sessions

Why clients love Botched Ink®

  • Gentle and skin-focused – designed for cosmetic tattoos, not body ink
  • Colour-friendly – can target a wide range of PMU pigments, including tricky tones
  • Often less uncomfortable than laser, with most clients describing a mild stinging or scratching sensation during treatment
  • Especially helpful for brows that have shifted color or look blocky and oversaturated

Most clients see visible lightening after each session, with several treatments usually needed for significant correction or removal.

Advanced Laser Lightening for PMU & Small Tattoos

Best for: Stubborn, deeper pigment, certain eyeliner and small body tattoos

For some types of pigment, especially deeper, saturated inks, we may recommend laser-based lightening. Our medical-grade laser platform uses short, high-energy pulses at specific wavelengths (including those commonly used in Q-switched tattoo removal systems) to break pigment into tiny particles that the body can gradually clear.

What laser can help with

  • Deep or dense brow tattoos that need more than saline alone
  • Certain eyeliner and small body tattoos in appropriate candidates
  • Residual ink after a series of saline sessions

What to expect

  • A series of treatments, spaced several weeks apart
  • A quick “snap” sensation during the pulses (numbing and cooling are used to improve comfort)
  • Gradual fading over time – no honest provider can guarantee 100% removal, but our aim is to get you to a point where you feel confident again

Laser may not be the first choice for every PMU case (especially on delicate brows with color-shifted cosmetic pigments), which is why a thorough consultation is non-negotiable.

Why Treatment Plans (Not One-Off Sessions) Matter

Old PMU rarely disappears in a single visit. Your skin and your ink both have a history, and we have to respect that.

Most clients will need a series of:

  • Botched Ink® sessions – commonly several treatments, especially for old or saturated work
  • Laser sessions – multiple visits for deeper or stubborn pigment, depending on ink, depth, and skin response
  • Optional resurfacing or brightening sessions once the bulk of the pigment is gone

A planned series allows us to:

  • Work gently and progressively, reducing the risk of scarring or over-treating
  • Monitor your healing and adjust settings as your skin responds
  • Aim for a result that doesn’t just look “less bad” – it looks naturally you again

We’ll walk you through realistic timelines based on your specific case so you know exactly what you’re signing up for—no vague promises, no surprises.

The Power of Combining Treatments

This is where things get really effective.

For more complex or long-standing PMU, the best results often come from a smart combination of methods, used in the right order. For example:

  • Brows with old, discolored microblading
    • Start with Botched Ink® to safely lift and soften pigment
    • Add targeted laser sessions if deeper or resistant ink remains
    • Finish with skin-brightening or resurfacing to clear any lingering haze and refine texture
    • Optional: once the area is stable, we can design new, corrected brows that suit your current features
  • Liner or lip work that migrated or looks heavy
    • Use saline or laser (or both) depending on pigment type and placement
    • Support healing with skin-strengthening skincare and light-based rejuvenation as appropriate

Combination plans help us:

  • Address different pigment depths and colors
  • Support skin health at every stage
  • Get you to your desired end result faster and more predictably than with a single modality alone
